At the integrated dispatch center in Ludwigshafen, Germany, the introduction of artificial intelligence technology has significantly improved the efficiency of emergency call handling. The AI system can instantly translate 42 languages, displaying the German translation directly on the dispatcher’s screen, allowing them to communicate with callers in German. With a single click, responses can be translated into the caller's language. Additionally, the AI can provide question suggestions and calculate search areas to assist operators. The AI's decision support ensures the accuracy of information processing, but key judgments are still made by humans. This project has been operational since June 2021.
